Edgemere II Condominium Association, Inc., 85 North Main Street, East Hampton, Connecticut 06424

May 15, 2003

Dear Edgemere II Unit Owners and Residents,

The paving project has been delayed one week due to the wet weather. The project is now set to begin on Tuesday, May 27th. We have done our best to notify all parties who service the property concerning the restricted access that will result while the project is under way. The paving contractor has assured us that Waste Management will be able to access the various dumpster locations throughout the project. Some dumpsters may be temporarily relocated during certain portions of the work. If the dumpster you normally use is not available on a given day, we ask that you utilize an alternate location. Kindly do not put out your recyclables while the paving project is under way.

Phase I residents (see map) must have their motor vehicles removed from the area prior to 8:00am on Tuesday, May 27th. The association will tow any vehicle remaining in Phase I after 8:00am. Any necessary towing will be back charged to the responsible party. At the end of the first day of the project, the paving contractor will provide traffic cones and saw horses, showing which areas shall be passable for vehicular traffic.

We have received permission from Edgemere Condominium Association to parallel park along the South side of Edgemere Avenue (left side as you enter property) while the project is under way. Other temporary parking will be available on the large grassy area adjacent to the visitor parking area behind building #s 10 and 11. Edgemere Condominium has also given us permission to enter and exit this temporary parking area directly from Edgemere Avenue. If this supplemental parking proves inadequate, we will open parking on the grass beyond building # 12. During the project you may also park on one side only of the interior roadways. Under no conditions may cars be parked on both sides of an interior roadway, resulting in making the property inaccessible to emergency vehicles! If you are a two car household we ask that you "double up" when possible, parking one vehicle directly behind the other. If you have a second car you seldom use but keep on the property, we ask that you relocate it at a friend's or relative's until the project is complete.

During construction please anticipate quite a bit of dust to accumulate. We suggest you keep your windows closed whenever possible. Pet owners should also keep a watchful eye on their pets. All paved areas are part of the project so please remember to take in any bikes, tables, hoses, planters, etc. that may be adjacent to any of these areas. Plants, shrubs and bulbs that have been planted within 12 inches of walkways may be subject to damage. You should trim back any plant material that is infringing on these areas.

We have done our best to plan for this project. Despite our best efforts we can not foresee some problems that may crop up along the way. We ask for your patience and understanding while we get through the coming weeks. We are confident everyone will appreciate the final product, which will greatly improve our day to day lives.

Sincerely, Your Board of Directors
